The Engineering Technology Group (ETG) is now inviting aspiring engineers to apply for one of its exciting engineering apprenticeship roles. The Wellesbourne manufacturing experts are investing in the future of the industry by creating two engineering apprentice positions that will commence in September, with the first 12 months consisting of full-time college attendance.
ETG brings together the strengths of the world’s most advanced manufacturers of high-technology machine tools, automation, additive manufacturing, wire EDM and workholding systems to deliver highly productive and effective metal cutting solutions. The ETG portfolio of products, services and solutions can be found in the most diverse of manufacturing sectors, from F1 and aerospace to medical, automotive and even the food and space industries. This diversity will provide an enriching career path for any aspiring engineer, offering a gateway to further career development in a business committed to investing in its staff.
The comprehensive apprenticeship training programme will take three years to complete and during the training, the successful applicants will gain a fundamental understanding of engineering. This will progress through machine programming and operation, fault finding and applications, diagnostics and visiting customer facilities as part of the service team. Upon completion of the three-year programme, the trainees will achieve an Advanced Level 3 qualification (equivalent to 2 x A Level passes) along with a well-rounded skill set for an exciting future career in the manufacturing industry.
