Assistant Management Accountant

The role has become available due to the retirement of a team member and a review and re-allocation of tasks. The role includes responsibility for a number of accounting tasks, analytical tasks, processing of expenses, as well as general day-to-day administration tasks mainly within the finance department. In addition, there will be the opportunity to support the senior members of the department with ad hoc tasks as required. Essential to the role is the completion of tasks ensuring a high level of accuracy, diligence, and pro-active thinking.

The role offers an opportunity to develop new skills and processes within the department and to actively contribute to change and improvement rather than just follow the ‘status quo’.

Credit control & customer care

Main duties and role responsibilities:

  • Daily/Weekly Sterling Bank Accounts Reconciliation
  • Daily/Weekly Currency Bank Accounts Reconciliation
  • Cashflow Actuals Reporting
  • Monthly Spares/Workholding Margin Analysis
  • Monthly reconciliation of Machine Accessories costings
  • Monthly Sales Ledger / Purchase Ledger / Bank / Stock / Fixed Asset Reconciliations
  • Analysing, Processing, Payment of Employee Expenses
  • Analysing and posting of Company Credit Cards
  • Collation of employee private mileage returns
  • Collation of employee overtime in preparation for payroll
  • Monthly preparation of marketing and service contract reports
  • Financial KPIs
  • Maintenance of company car records
  • Set up new customer and supplier accounts as required.
  • Preparation of Machine Costing Analysis
  • Any other duties that may be required of you from time to time.
