ETG Partner, CHIRON, Announce Record Turnover

ETG is delighted to announce that one of our trusted partners, CHIRON Group, has reported record turnover and seen substantial growth over the course of last year. In 2018, the CHIRON Group achieved a turnover of €498 million, 7% above that of the previous year.

They found that their domestic market was especially strong, with a market share in turnover of 29%, but also the European market remains a comfortable sector for them, with a market share of 38%, a 3% increase.

CHIRON Group’s strongest segment remains the automotive and supply market, with 60% of their incoming orders being drawn from these industries.

New Factories

At the cost of more than €30 million, the construction of the new CHIRON Precision Factory in Neuhausen ob Eck, Germany, is the largest single investment the group has ever made.

When it opens in October 2019, it will be the most advanced facility of its kind in Europe, covering a total of 14,000 square meters.

Further to this, a €10 million facility in China finished construction in late May, opening its doors as the first-ever facility to produce CHIRON, STAMA and SCHERER products under one roof. During the course of all this investment, CHIRON has maintained a focus on software.

By furthering the development of the crucial software powering their machines, CHIRON is ensuring their customers are able to stay ahead of the competition.

“We are delighted to have seen the highest turnover in the company’s history as well as the successful launch of our new CHIRON FZ/DZ 16 and STAMA MT 733 machine series. The market has confirmed that we are adopting the right approach with our gantry design, which combines dynamics, precision and higher cutting forces in a way that has never been seen before.”

“The new series from CHIRON and STAMA, together with our SmartLine software modules, form the basis for fully integrated system solutions. They enable our customers to harness the full potential of digital production and therefore exploit the outstanding productivity and precision of our machining centres.” – Dr Markus Flik, CEO CHIRON Group.
